A Museum is given birth
Above four hundred infrequent evidences from the industrial heritage of
Ermoupolis, it was the first flavour from the Museum, in a report in May 2000.
Maps and pictures from the end 17th until the means of 20th century, prototypes
architectural and urban drawings from the creation of neo classic Ermoupolis,
tables of painters from Syros of 19th century and effigies of boats,
were certain only from the first exhibits.

Culture" (Ce.Te.Cu) the Ermoupolis.
The Centre of Technical Culture - fruit of long-lasting collaboration of
Municipality of Ermoupolis with the Institute of Modern Greek Researches
(National Institution of Researches) - combines the idea of Museum with the
study and the research "on the documentation of technical culture and the newer
and modern history of Aegean".
In his planning, the Ce.Te.Cu. has included unit of laboratories that will
connect the action of centre with the current productive activities of island,
as also and unit of reception inquiring and educational activities.
Be marked that the systematic work of re-establishment and maintenance of
exhibits of Industrial Museum, that it began in 1998, it becomes from entire in
the Ermoupoli.
