You will not find a more convivial hotel than that of THE CAPTAIN’S, run by the energetic George Papitsis. His mayor ship of 20 years did not prevent him from devoting a good deal of his time and energy to his hotel.
The hotel started its life in the late eighties, with 6 furnished flats in what is now the oldest part of the ‘complex’.

Over the years, Mr Papitsis improved and modernized the existing flats of the Captain’s and created six more apartments in the annex, which dates from 1997.
All the rooms have air conditioning, television, a kitchenette and a balcony with a view of the sea.

The Captain’s provides parking space on two different levels of the premises. Mr Papitsis can help you organize your excursions both on Syros and to other islands.

The hotel offers excellent low season rates, and an interesting price for renting an apartment for the duration of a month : just contact Mr Papitsis for these special conditions. The low season starts on September 15 and ends on May 15. The Carnival- and Easter periods are, of course, exceptions where the full rate is applied.

A laundry service is available, as well as a daily take-away menu (35 % off the restaurant price) for those who wish to eat in their room. Breakfast, or just a coffee, is served in the restaurant and on its terrace as of 8 am.
